Director, Financial Analysis - Card Technology Finance
Finance Director of a team of financial analysts responsible for Card Technology Finance. Role entails deep analytic capabilities, strong cross-functional engagement, ability to leverage data to influence decisions as well as need to motivate and drive team agenda.
Develop finance objectives in support of business goals. Forecast development and actual monthly reporting. Coordinate seamlessly between business partners and Capital One central teams. Accountable to financial results of area supported.
Responsible for forecasting technical and qualitative aspects of predicting future financial performance given historical trends, changes in business dynamics and likely changes in business environment (micro and macro)
Manage, coach, and develop associates; a team of 6 resources
Drive process improvements
Engage with peer organizations and maintain a pulse of external Technology environment
Apply integrative thinking skills to current challenges & opportunities facing Capital One as well as the broader financial services & technology industries
Drive multiple projects by providing thought leadership and working closely with highly specialized subject matter experts across lines of business
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or other quantitative discipline, or military experience
At least 7 years’ experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
At least 4 years’ experience managing a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function
At least 3 years of people management experience
Experience with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications :
Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Finance
Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) license or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
8+ years’ experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
5+ years’ experience managing a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function
4+ years of people management experience including both direct & indirect reports
