Principal Associate- Supply Chain: Non-Associate Labor
The person filling this role will be expected to manage procurement needs for Consulting & Professional Services on our Non-Associate Labor (NAL) team. This role is responsible for ensuring that Enterprise Supplier Management is delivering value to our internal customers while respecting the policies and procedures that govern the transaction/relationship.
This individual is expected to develop Non-Associate Labor sourcing strategies, supplier communications, request for proposals (and related due diligence), cost analytics, supply market analysis, deal strategy, pricing strategy, deal negotiations (contract terms and conditions, scopes of work, pricing, service levels, etc.), contract development, and contract administration. They are also expected to act as a central point of contact for a transaction and is responsible for engaging all the internal parties relevant to a given supplier transaction.
In addition, this individual will be expected to effectively support management of the category and the unique reporting, comparative analysis and ongoing supplier maintenance requirements of the Non-Associate (Contingent) Labor space. This activity includes, but is not limited to: the maintenance of Preferred Supplier Pools (PSPs) by segment and tier; the maintenance of supplier rate cards with comparables to market peers and industry benchmarks; quarterly PSP reviews (supplier performance and need for new PSP supplier participants); ongoing evaluation of supplier competencies to ensure service coverage and alignment; ongoing evaluation of the service provider market (best practices, emerging trends); ongoing evaluation of supplier rate cards by role; reporting related to:
· PSP spend, active engagements, sourcing history
· Savings and validation process
· Channel management activity
· Demand management activity
This individual will have senior customers throughout the organization, so excellent influencing and communication skills are a must. At Capital One, Supply Chain Managers are expected to work in a collaborative environment with internal customers as well with other groups within company.
You should have:
A proven track record of delivering cost savings through strategic sourcing
Strong analytical skills
Ability to structure and comprehend numerical analysis and optimization strategies
Proven negotiation skills
Ability to build strong internal and external relationships
Experience in strategy development, process design, project delivery, or sourcing in diverse industries
Experience leading business negotiations of sourcing deals
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently in an autonomous environment; ability to generate and pursue ideas; complex project management skills; written and verbal communications
Bachelors degree or military experience
At least 2 year of experience in project management
At least 5 Years of experience in Supply Chain Consulting or Supplier Management
At least 5 Years of experience in contract review, or negotiation management
