Sr Manager, Chief of Staff/Events

As a member of the Technology team at Capital One, you will support and manage work for the Mosaic Tech Chief of Staff organization. You will work with smart and passionate people to deliver results that have a direct impact on the company’s performance. You will take on important and exciting responsibility from day one, working with key stakeholders across the company.   • Lead and manage the Chief of Staff team across the Mosaic Tech organization as well as the internal Mosaic event and leadership support strategy

  • Create standard processes across multiple activities related to our workforce strategy, associate recruiting, headcount management, etc.

  • Partner closely with the top-of-the-house Chief of Staff office to evolve, manage, and track our Outcome-Based Multi-Year Plan.

  • Partner closely with Cost Transformation and Finance teams to ensure that we meet financial commitments and continue to improve our financial management processes.

  • Ensure we are well managed as it relates to technology delivery, audit, risk and cyber.

  • Partner and build relationships cross-functionally with Finance, Reporting & Analysis, Strategy, HR, Communications, and business partners, as well as internal key stakeholders, enabling successful delivery on commitments

  • Delivering ad hoc requests to support the applicable VPs and TOH Chief of Staff, as needed.

  • Create and execute various events for Mosaic Tech including senior leadership events, town halls, offsites, etc.

  • Have a proven track record for success leading and supporting activities related to reporting, analysis, and financial management.

  • Demonstrate excellent time management, bringing the ability to quickly put structure in place to manage work in a dynamic complex environment.

  • Have excellent communication and partnership skills which are essential for interacting and communicating with key stakeholders at all levels across the company to manage, inform and influence outcomes.

  • Possess a keen attention to detail and a passion for data analysis

  • Execute a strategic approach to all things especially process and operations

  • Have an intellectual curiosity and hunger to learn more about Technology

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or military experience

  • At least 4 year of experience in Agile Delivery

  • At least 8 years of experience in Project or Portfolio Management

  • At least 1 year of experience managing direct reports

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Engineering, Business, Professional Studies or Computers

  • 8+ years of experience working in a dynamic organization with a focus on execution and “getting things done”

  • 5+ years of experience in Managing IT projects

  • 2+ years of experience in IT development or support

  • 2+ years of experience in Software development

  • 1+ years of managing events teams

  • Agile certification
