Specialist Customer Service Advisor

Are you looking for a role where you can really make a difference to people’s lives?

Do you want to work in a team of people dedicated to helping vulnerable customers and customers who are experiencing financial difficulties?

If yes, we may have the perfect role for you supporting Capital One’s customers in our Specialist Support team here in Nottingham.

Our customers may be going through difficult times which could include financial difficulties, bereavement or hardship and so you will need a sensitive and empathetic approach, you will help them to find sustainable solutions to their credit problems over the telephone.

You will need to be comfortable exploring a customer’s situation using open questions, you will help to find the best outcomes, listening out for indicators that suggest a customer may need additional support from us or an appropriate third party.

By dealing with our customers in a constructive, supporting and reassuring way, you will use empathy and patience to ensure that our customers feel comfortable and safe with the information that they are giving you.

So, who are we looking for?

It goes without saying that we need you to be professional and non-judgmental when dealing with people. You have the ability to read between the lines, knowing that what customers don’t say can be just as important as what they do say. You are patient and empathetic, as one of our vulnerable customer specialists, you have excellent interpersonal skills, always looking to go the extra mile for our customers.

We also need you to be resilient, dealing with calls from vulnerable customers everyday can be tough but extremely rewarding, you will truly be making a difference in peoples’ lives.

We are recruiting several positions into the Team to start on 25th February 2019.

We will be holding interviews at the end of January.

The next stage in the process is online testing then a telephone interview to determine whether you are successful in being invited to an assessment day.
