Production Support Manager

Capital One is seeking a Manager of Production Support responsible for all major systems and related subsystems to ensure the integrity and functionality of the services. The Manager handles support issues and requirements for applications in the assigned portfolio, regulatory requirements for portfolio, and participates in projects that impact portfolio.


  • Supervises daily activities of production support personnel to ensure timely and effective reporting, tracking, follow-up and communication of problems with the user community.

  • Develops and maintains service-level agreements with user departments and business units.

  • Participates in project work to support business initiatives, as needed.

  • Oversees production support of High Severity incidents and awareness of key stakeholders

  • Identifies support trends and ensures that resolution and documentation is delivered at every level of the support model

  • Forecasts and anticipates staffing needs

  • Ensures that monthly reporting of support metrics is delivered on time and accurately

  • Invests in the development career growth of direct reports

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree

• 2 Years of people management experience

• 2 Years of experience in Production and Operations support

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Business Administration

• ITIL Service Management Essentials; ITIL Practitioner certificate

• 2+ years of experience in Production or Operations support

• 1+ year of experience in IT Process Management
