Manager, Fraud Team

The Cyber Operations and Intelligence teams at Capital One support larger efforts of the Cyber organization to safeguard enterprise information systems and protect networks against unauthorized access, modification, disclosure, and use. The associate in this role will direct strategic and tactical actions for highly visible projects which require cross-functional team support.

General Responsibilities:

  • Identify fraudulent activities, threats, tactics and trends

  • Contribute to fraud team strategy development

  • Lead, mentor, and guide junior associates

  • Establish new line of analytical products for internal consumption

  • Lead internal and external fraud working groups

  • Identify and leverage cutting edge technology to identify and reduce cyber-enabled fraud

  • Conduct threat briefings to internal and external stakeholders

  • Establish new processes for information sharing

  • Lead formal and informal engagement activities with associates across the Capital One enterprise including those within and external to the Cyber organization

  • Identify and track project actions, milestones and metrics

  • Analyze project performance

  • Identify customer needs across the enterprise and negotiate deliverables

  • Serve as a Capital One culture champion, with participation in events across the enterprise

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience

  • At least 8 years of experience in cybersecurity, fraud investigation, or intelligence analysis

  • At least 4 years managing people

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree or military experience

  • 5+ years of experience analyzing information and data

  • 5+ years of experience problem-solving

  • 2+ years of experience with strategy development

  • Experience with anti-fraud technology and fraudulent techniques
