Project Manager – Commercial Card

Internal Level: Sr. Associate

Location: McLean, VA

The Commercial Card Product team is looking for a strong Project Manager eager to problem solve and to help build and grow our Business-to-Business payments business. Our team is developing best-in-class products. You will partner with product managers, designers, engineers, salespeople, customer service agents, and many others to ensure product and customer success.

Electronic Payments is the fastest growing segment within Commercial Card. We are re-thinking the way companies pay their suppliers, and we are formulating market-leading products to win in this space. This is a great opportunity to make an impact at an early stage of Capital One’s Commercial Card.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Become a subject matter expert on our products, both from a front-end and back-end perspective

  • Partner with customer support agents to understand product & customer issues and ultimately drive to resolution in a well-managed process.

  • Partner with software engineers to dive deep into more challenging product issues.

  • Make training recommendations and own the creation of training materials to address knowledge gaps within partner teams.

  • Lead the relationship with external vendors, and manage product enhancement requests and integration.

  • Aggregate customer feedback and recommend product enhancements to improve the overall customer’s experience.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or military experience

  • At least 2 years of Project or Process Management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science, or Engineering

  • At least 5 years of Project or Process Management experience

  • Basic knowledge of how to query logs on Splunk and using SQL (ability to learn is a must)

  • Basic knowledge of how web applications work (APIs, UI, etc.) (ability to learn is a must)
